Sony Ericsson W810i: Tune Up your Mobile Life

The Sony Ericsson W810i is the next in line after the first Walkman phone – the Sony Ericsson W800i. Most of the feature remains the same though there are many up gradation and improvement on the earlier model. Look wise, the Sony Ericsson W810i retains the same mono-block form as in the W800i, however is available in Black. The body plastic is dull-black, it is like coal and resembles graphite. The central part of the phone features an orange Walkman button, a silvery Activity Menu button towards the right and a metallic navigation button divides the composition in the center. These type of designing and colour scheme makes it clear that the Sony Ericsson W810i is clearly aimed at the youth.



Being offered as a music solution, the Sony Ericsson W810i exhibits great media playing ability. The handset is equipped with a Walkman media player that is compatible with almost all popular media file formats. The media player supports play-list and features a graphic equalizer which prominently changes the sound output to the liking of its user. The handset's in built memory is 20 Mb which is good enough to carry only a few tracks. Therefore, a standard Sony Ericsson W810i is shipped with a 512 Mb external memory card. This can further be upgraded up to 2GB. Apart from the standard pair of headphones supplied with the handset, you may even plug in your preferred headset on its 3.5 mm audio jack adapter.



The Sony Ericsson W810i features a 2.0 megapixel integrated camera which can capture pictures in up to 1632 x 1224 pixel. The camera is loaded with all that is needed for a great picture, from simple solutions like separate camera keys to autofocus and integrated flash. The quad band phone can provide on with fast mobile internet connection using its embedded GPRS and EDGE technology apart from 'basic' voice functions. Other modes and options of local connectivity includes Bluetooth v2.0, infrared and USB2.0.
