UN55B7000 Samsung I got this Samsung to replace a Sony KDL52W3000 dead was just shy of 20 months.
For the price, it came down to this or 52XBR9. I got the Samsung cause the picture looked sharper at the store and while still smarting from a reliability problem for Sony.
Once set up at home, I began to reconsider my choice. While the levels are much darker than dark, glossy screen is a nuisance in the low-lit scenes.
The bezel design is such that the speakers have nowhere to go, but behind the TV that is based only on the condition and distance of the wall behind it. Compared to Sony, the sound coming out of this TV sucked.
Samsung default their screen, with 95% contrast level. So there is plenty of room to increase the contrast, if you ever need. I think this is how Samsung gets the advantage, however, raise it up then cover with a glossy screen.
The slim design also limits the options input source. Comes with 4 HDMIs and is only a component or composite source. With the Sony I can connect all my sources in a redundant fashion without the need to initiate the receiver power hungry 100% of the time.
So if you connect all the components to your TV via HDMI, the sound going into your A / V receiver depends on how much TV can pass through.
Another thing I noticed, viewing angle is a bit 'tight before image quality begins to fade. Considerably more limited than the Sony. Buyers generally do not compare this attribute to the shop, which is not easy to understand why the shops almost always scenes of the show floor in a bright display of light.
UN55B7000 Samsung - Greate Shopping Experience
This is an awesome TV, despite some negative comments can be read. I must say that Amazon offers quality products, such as your local store (Best Buy, Sears, etc.) but at prices much cheaper. Their service is excellent, shipping super fast and no surprises regarding the condition of the product and / or description, you can rest assure that you get the original right product every time.
Back to TV, it seems fair or Off. The contrast ratio is amazing, super pure blacks and whites, the image quality is superb! Just make sure you have HD content available to truly appreciate the quality. No problem so far with poor lighting angle, you will be extremely picky and try to find this kind of problem. Samsung has the best design in the market, so thin, lightweight and low power consumption, heat production whatsoever.
Perhaps the only bad thing is the sound of the speakers, it's not nice, but good enough for regular TV programming. However, this is not a problem for me, I used a home theater system for music concerts or movies with all the TV that I owned.
120Hz The effect of movement is very cool, but can not work with all types of programming, but for nature or sports events is pretty neat! The good thing is that you decide when to activate or deactivate or what they want.
I definitely recommend this TV.
