We did extensive research before you "settle" this TV. Samsung LCDs are the leading category, but you have to shop wisely;) We were impressed with the lineup LED-backlit (6,7,8) - Touch of Color, cases incredibly slim, great features and exceptional image quality. These are not the LCD screens of past days; pixelation has almost disappeared, and black levels are impressive. You will find critical reviews online, and are valuable for comparison, but you really need to see these groups in person to appreciate the recent advances in imaging technology.
For comments and personally, the flagship UN55B7000 Samsung display provides unmatched experience, but at a price to match. However, we were impressed by the image quality offered by this entry-level "Series 6 TV LED backlight for at least $ 1,500 less. Specifications (4 ms response time, contrast ratio 3,000,000:1, 120Hz processing) can not be on par with the UN55B7000 Samsung, but you should see these TVs in person before spending the extra money. Keep in mind that none of these televisions will be amazing in the house.
Through Amazon, we beat our prices at local shops' at least $ 500 (and received free shipping). The delivery was easy, because these TVs are extremely light for their size. And despite the "1.2 thick case, the structure of the TV feels solid. That said, if you have children or pets, may be useful in both this series wall or use the anchor to prevent any possibility of tipping off his base.
I think the only negative so far is the lack of analog inputs, but we knew this before buying. We have an old DVD player connected via component inputs, and everything is connected via HDMI. A friend brought up a PS2 for a party last night, but could not connect, as it was only analog outputs (unlike the PS3). So, be sure to evaluate your system for connectivity before purchasing.
All in all, a great TV! It was not cheap by any means, but it offers great features and is a cheaper alternative for set-top-of-the-line.
