iPhoto to Mobile Me
If you have a Mac at home, an iPhone, and a PC at the office, MobileMe can get them all in sync using push technology. Update one of them and the other two are updated automatically. You can also use the service to share photos and movies stored in your iPhoto library.
Sharing Movies and Photos
After selecting the photos you wish to share, go the "Share" menu. Click "MobileMe" to bring down a window presenting some options. One of these is your choice of who you wish to have access to your photos. You can set a username and password for your photo gallery if you do not wish it to be open to the public. However, if you would rather have it open to "Everyone," no password is necessary. If you have previously created a username and password, these will appear in the list of options.
You have to decide if you want others to be able to download your photos, and if you want them to be able to upload theirs to your gallery. If you decide in the affirmative, click on the appropriate checkboxes beside these options. Note that MobileMe allows two ways whereby others can upload photos to your gallery. One is through a webpage, and the other is through a unique email address that may or may not be displayed on your gallery screen.
If you chose to display the email address, everybody can send photos, including unwanted ones, to your gallery. It is for this reason that you are given the option of hiding the email address once you enable uploading through email.
Click "Publish" to send your photos to a gallery. A drop down window will inform you when the gallery is ready, and will ask you if you want to view it, or to "Tell a friend". If you choose the latter, MobileMe will prepare an email, which you can edit or reword if your want, informing your friend about your gallery.
An "Advanced" button will allow you to hide your gallery on the MobileMe gallery homepage. This way, only those you give the website address to will be able to view it. Finally, if downloads are allowed, you can also determine their quality.
